AWeber Email Marketing Tips And Insights .... How To Write Your Email

One of the most powerful marketing lessons you can learn is from Dan Kennedy and goes like this: "Good sales copy pulls results, whether it's web copy, PDF, audio, or email. Never underestimate the power of salesmaship in print"

In this post, I want to concentrate a bit about email.

In order to actually make money online, you need to know how to write emails. If you do not know how to write emails effectively then your chances to make money are limited.

Learning how to write emails that cause prospects to buy from you or join your opportunity is not hard, it just takes practice.

For starters, you must know what your audience wants.

When you are learning how to write emails that make money be sure to speak to your readers as you would to a friend.

Be on point, courteous, and write in a simple to understand structure.

Always personalize your emails so that your readers get the impression of a one on one relationship. When you are practicing on how to write emails that make money, one of the best things you can do is to make sure you nurture a relationship with your readers.

Relationship building is of the highest order when learning how to write emails that make money. Stay away from cheap marketing ploys that look misleading in the eyes of your prospects. It will only breed suspicion.

Instead, be a straight shooter and earn their trust.

That is how the real money is being made.

(Of course, using psychological triggers is a vital part of your email marketing efforts. But that's an entire topic in itself).

You can read every article, book, or report available on how to write emails that make money, and you will see that in each and every publication, it states pretty much the same thing as this very article does.

One of the best resources I found about this topic is the classic "Million Dollar Emails" by Yanik Silver. (this is not a sales promotion). You can go search the net for it in case you haven't read it yet.

You must carefully choose an appropriate email subject. Remember, your goal is not to create an award winning title that will win a Pulitzer or something. Your one and only objective in the email subject is to cause your readers to want to click and open the email.

To have an effective email subject, as a general rule, it should not look like an advertisement but rather a real , personal email message. Think of the kind of email subjects you receive from your real-life friends. Those are the kinds of email subjects that will be effective in your email marketing campaigns.

If you write email subjects like "How To Achieve Financial Freedom", or "Make MOney In 30 Days Or Less", chances are, people will delete it instantly. Instead, use email subjects like "I just came home from Miami", or "Some freebies from a new CD I just ripped". Be creative though, and study real email subjects that caused you to click and want to read promotional emails.

Another thing that you have to put in mind is getting your email past the spam filters. Do you know that there are certain words and phrases that instantly pick the attention of email spam filters? This will cause your message to be directly trashed to the bulk email folder.

Don't use all caps in any part of your email, especially the word "FREE". Too many long links, and broken spaces may also cause your emails to be blocked instantly. Some email services are now blocking the word "Spam" itself. A good alternative to the word "Spam" is "unsolicited mail", or simply not use that word at all in the email body.
